A Momma’s Love

A momma’s love is never ending.  You have your first child you never just realize how much you can grow to love that child yet you love it more than anything in the world and then you go to have a second child and you worry that you won’t have enough love for the second child and when the child arrives you love him or her just as much or more than you love your first.  It’s weird to think how a momma can have so much love and it’s never  ending.  You love your child from the moment you find out you are going to have them til the day you die and beyond.  Being a momma is filled with unconditional love and joy.  You love your children, you watch them grow and develop and become their own people and that is the best feeling in the world.  when my children were born I never knew that i could love someone as much as i love them and with the birth of each child that love grew more and more by the day and now I just can’t imagine my life without them.  I cherish each day i get to spend with my kids and try to enjoy them while i am little because in the words of a very wise person “one day you will turn around and they will be all grown up”, and it’s so true.  My kids are truly blessings from god and i thank him each and every day for them.  A momma’s love can stretch as far as you and me can see and it grows.  You have alot of love to give in fact alot more than you ever thought possible.

monday madness…

Well, good morning and once again it’s monday morning which means we made it through yet another weekend.  Its monday madness once again in our household which means rushing around to get the kids up, dressed and ready for school.  We had a pretty busy weekend, we had to drive 300 miles down to the coast and back in 24 hours so this morning i am more tired than usual but  hopefully once the kids get on the bus I can go lay back down for a little while. Anyway, my kids are all tired and cranky this morning which should make for an interesting day.  The drive down and back that is always interesting because of all the fussing and fighting.  I swear i turned on the christmas music and that seemed to calm them all down.  So here are my talking points for the morning and i shall work my way down.

  1. Get the kids up
  2. get the kids dressed and ready for schoo
  3. put the kids on the bus
  4. take a small nap
  5. make some breakfast
  6. clean the house
  7. get the laundry done
  8. clean out the car from the trip
  9. relax before the kids get home
  10. make dinner
  11. get the kids fed and bathed
  12. bedtime.
So that is my list for the day sometimes it’s longer and sometimes its shorter. They are up and dressed now just waiting for the bus  to get here and here lately she seems to come later and later which is getting rediculous.  This week is the kids last full week of school before thanksgiving, next week they are out the whole week.  When i was in school we never got out the whole week for thanksgiving so that must be nice.  Seems like these days they get more time off than we ever did.  Also, i am going to look up some dinner ideas on pinterest this morning.  I absolutely love pinterest there is so many good ideas its kind of addictive.

Welcome to my crazy life…..

Hi there and welcome to my blog.  I decided to start a blog as a place where i can come and be myself and just let it all out.  First of all, I am Heather, 34yrs old stay at home to 4 very beautiful and active children: Taylor 10 (girl), Wayne 9 who is autistic, Thomas 6 and Rachael who turns 5 on monday.  I have been married to my husband john for over 11yrs now.  He is a great guy and an even better husband and father though sometimes he can be just really goofey but i love him.  He makes me laugh and he makes me mad from time to time.  You hear things from him you would never hear anywhere else. There is definitely never a dull moment around here and with the kids I have learned to always expect the unexpected because you never know what they are going to say or do next.  There is alot of love in our family along with alot of humor and just plain out madness from time to time.  Yeah it may be a crazy life but it’s our life and i wouldn’t trade it for anything in this world.  I  hope you enjoy the trip because with my family you are in for quite a ride.  It’s not filled with glitz or glamour but its filled with alot of warm moments, love and sentiment and that in my eyes is all that counts.  There are those moments when i am ready to pull my hair out but when you have kids and i have 4 so there are plenty of those moments but we also have moments where they can just smile at me or look at me and it just warms my heart i love my kids and my husband more than anything in this world.

So really I mean when you start blogging how much do you really learn about people until you start following there blogs.  I have started following a ton of blogs and I am learning alot about people i don’t know and have never even met but after reading their blogs i feel like i have known them forever.  My blog is not just the story of my life as a mom and wife but also my personal thoughts and opinions.  After the election this past week on facebook or even just being out and about alot of people would say a whole lot of crap but then they would say well keep your opinions off my page and if you say anything i will delete you and so on.  Well, with me being the straight shooting non sugar coating woman i am I tend to go on and tell them my opinion anyway that is just who i am.  If you have an opinion go ahead and say it no one said i have to agree with you or you have to agree with me so who cares.  But the one thing that pisses me off with people  is having someone tell me i can’t say how i feel but yet you want to shove your opinions down my throat no i don’t think so.  I do say though i really do love reading people’s blogs and learning more about who they are that is pretty fun and i hope people enjoy reading mine even though mine is still a work in progress.  It’s not where i want it to be but i am getting there slowly.

Veterans day what it means to me

Ok this pst is pretty much something that is very near and dear to my heart.  Sunday is Veteran’s Day a day we celebrate all of our veteran’s of wars from past to present.  I have two veteran’s in my family who mean the world to me, my grandpa was a navy veteran who did 20 years in the navy and retired. He passed away back in 95 but i am still very proud of his accomplishments for serving his country and being the person who he was and i miss him dearly. My husband is a us army veteran who served twice in iraq and once in afghanistan and has seen the good, the bad and the ugly.  I am extremely proud of him he is braver and has more courage than i ever could.  I always try to say thank you to our veterans for their service because its because of them that we have the rights and the freedoms we do today and i think it’s important we as americans show them our appreciation and our gratitude.  These men and women from young to old have sacrificed their lives and time with their families so we can have a much safer place to live today and i appreciate all of their sacrifices as well as their families sacrifices because the families make it possible for these men and women to do their jobs so when you are out this weekend and if you know or run into a veteran please take the time to say thank you to them for their service and let them know how much you apprecitate them because we owe them our gratitude.  As the wife of a veteran having to watch your loved one going to war is not an easy thing to do especially when you are not guaranteed them to come home safe and sound.  I would also like to remember the veterans who gave their lives for this country your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
Do you have a veteran in your family or know any veterans?

Mommy time…. Take it when you can get it

Well, I am starting friday’s post probably before friday.  The kids are asleep and the tv is off, it’s cold outside but its roasty toasty warm in the house which is what i like.  My husband is still out of town with my oldest son so its me and the other 3 kids here and when he’s not here they like to camp out in my room except for the youngest she likes her own space.  So i am sitting here watching my favorite show on hulu right now the chew.  And let me say who doesn’t like the chew right and listening to my kids snore but let me say i finally get some me time.  I think all moms deserve a few minutes to themselves at night.  We love our kids to death but its nice to be able to sit down and unwind and just enjoy some peace and quiet. Don’t get much time to myself when the husband is home or the kids are awake because someone is always fighting, fussing, sick or something else.  My 6yr old son is getting over a cold and has an ear ache tonight so he has been quite fussy.  Anyway, for all the mommy’s out there  when you get a chance to have a moment for yourself take it and take advantage of it because if you are like me that chance doesn’t come along very often.  Good night !!!

Give thanks for what you have…

Ok so thanksgiving is coming up 2 weeks from today wow the time has gone by really fast.  So, I thought it would be kind of a cool idea to  go around and say what I am thankful for this year.  First and foremost, I am thankful for my faith in god and all of his blessings, he has blessed me so many times I can’t even begin to count and i know with him in my life I can’t go wrong and when i do he leads me back on the right path.  Next, i am thankful for my 4 very beautiful  children, they are my life and without them i wouldn’t be who i am today.  They make my life so much more joyful and i just can’t imagine living without them.  I am also thankful for my wonderful husband who gave me those 4 little angels in my life and for just being the great and wonderful man he is.  He believes in me and he loves me and supports me and just brings out the best in me.  Last but definitely not least i am very thankful for my family who gave me life and who loves me unconditionally and supports me the whole way they mean the world to me.  There are so many reasons to be thankful this year i am also thankful to god because i lost my grandma a month ago to cancer  but she was 85 and already had alzheimers disease and i am thankful he took her back to heaven before she started to suffer or be in any kind of pain.  I miss her dearly but i know she is in a better place with my grandpa.

So, what are you thankful for this holiday season?
